If you have already taken CTC-1000 Introduction to Computation or an equivalent introductory course and would like to declare yourself as a CTC concentrator.
- You can declare your CTC Concentration at any time, though you will need to declare before being enrolled in CTC-3000 CTC Concentration Project which is typically the last CTC class taken your senior year.
- Once you declare your CTC concentration, any course you have taken that counts for CTC credit will be retroactively counted. You do not need to declare CTC in order to start earning CTC credit. In other words, if you took a CTC class before you declared your CTC concentration, it will still count for CTC credit and will be automatically applied towards the CTC concentration once you declare a CTC concentration.
- There is no penalty for not completing or withdrawing from the concentration, other than the CTC concentration will have not been achieved.
- Students can petition the CTC Coordinator to substitute an elective for CTC-1000 Introduction to Computation. The CTC Coordinator will determine if the alternative course sufficiently meets the introductory requirements.
- Students can fill out the CTC declaration form prior to having taken CTC-1000 Introduction to Computation. However students will not be elegible for preregistration until CTC-1000 or an equivalent has been completed. Please see the preregistration information page for more info: preregistration
