Fill out the form linked above if you have already declared a CTC concentration and have taken a class you think can count towards CTC credit
- If you have not yet taken a course but want to know if it could count when planning for future semesters, please email the CTC coordinator with the course name, description, and a brief explanation of how it aligns with the CTC mission (see below).
- Courses are eligible for CTC credit if they fulfill the CTC mission: Through the CTC concentration students gain an understanding of the ideas and techniques of writing in programming languages, while engaging with critical analysis, history, and theory concerning software systems, computational platforms, and associated technologies shaping society. - To substitute CTC-3002: Interdisciplinary Critique or an equivalent 3000-level course, the course must be an advanced studio that allows for independent project work. Documentation showing the independent component is required.
- To transfer credit from other institutions, you first need your department or the division of liberal arts to approve your transfer credits. Once your department or liberal arts has approved the credits they can then be applied towards fulfilling your CTC concentration.
- The approval process involves multiple steps and typically takes about a month before the course is recognized as CTC credit in Workday.
