Credits

CTC is a RISD concentration, a certificate-granting program that functions like a minor. Students earn credits towards the concentration by taking a mix of required courses and identified electives.
Students must earn 15 credits within CTC to graduate with the CTC concentration.

•  CTC does not require additional credits to graduate. Rather, students focus their elective coursework towards the concentration

  Typically students take five, 3‑credit courses comprised of:

•  CTC-1000 Introduction to Computation (or equivalent)
  A required 3-credit studio introductory course (usually taken sophomore or junior year).
•  CTC-3000 CTC Concentration Project (or equivalent)
  A required 3‑credit advanced studio with large-scale project (usually taken senior year). CTC-3000 may be substituted for a CTC-3002: Interdisciplinary Critique or equivalent 3000-level course.
•  9 credits (three electives from across the college)
  Taken any year, these courses can be selected from CTC‑sponsored or from approved Departmental offerings. 6‑credit courses and 1‑credit workshops also qualify when offered.
